When a colleague told me our building was on fire this afternoon, I grabbed my purse, laptop, library book, and the page proofs for Boys’ Love Manga, so that I wouldn’t lose any of my penciled-in edits if the building burned down!
Turned out it was a burning lightbulb’s smoke being sucked into the ventilation system, though….

Glad to read it was a false alarm.
If my flat went up in flames I’d loose huge amounts of irreplaceable, out-of-print favourite mass market paperbacks and pictures, etc., as well as most of handouts for class and my pc.
I would at this time not loose certain books and handouts, as I backup the handouts (would have to grab three external hard disks though) semi-regularly and take my ebook reader along, where I have all my bought ebooks on an expansion stick. Come to think of it I also back that up on the hard disks, so maybe I’ll really only grab those.
