Another Harrow Update

drupagliassotti @ December 28, 2009 # No Comment Yet

Harrow webmaster Jason has dug out the problematic code that was triggering malware warnings on The Harrow, so the zine should be soon available to you through Google. If you visit The Harrow to check on one of your published stories or poems and the file doesn’t show up when you click on the link, [...]

The Harrow Officially Safe to Browse

drupagliassotti @ August 31, 2009 # No Comment Yet

All hail Jason Nolan, who has cleared out the problems that were causing The Harrow to generate a malware warning in Google!  He has fixed the problem — our site wasn’t really putting malware on anyone’s computer, but for some reason some of its code was triggering  alerts — so you can now go back [...]

2009 New Year’s Resolutions

drupagliassotti @ January 1, 2009 # No Comment Yet

I woke up this morning in the midst of an anxiety attack. Er, happy new year? My problem is deadlines — too many of them coming up too fast. A Jan. 2 deadline for getting all my permissions to use manga images secured and the final draft of my BL paper off to the editor. [...]

And, They’re Off!

drupagliassotti @ November 1, 2008 # No Comment Yet

Good look to everyone who’s participating in National Novel Writing Month this year! I’m about ready to settle down and start, myself — SoCal is kicking off the month with a grey, rainy day, which is perfect as far as I’m concerned — nothing like some unusual weather in this land of sun and heat [...]

May 7: Harrow Technical Difficulties

drupagliassotti @ May 8, 2008 # No Comment Yet

The Harrow has had technical difficulties since Tuesday evening — it seems our OJS table of contents isn’t working anymore. We’re troubleshooting the problem, and I’ll post more information here as I get it. Until we get it fixed, you can read our 1998-2004 archive, which is in plain vanilla (but stable!) html.

Under the Gun!

drupagliassotti @ March 31, 2008 # No Comment Yet

Well, despite my best intentions, I’m putting together the new issue of The Harrow at the last minute again. For the last 10+ years I’ve been saying that I’m going to get the issues put together early … maybe even a  month or two early … but it’s yet to happen. I’m not, in general, [...]

Harrow Update

drupagliassotti @ December 22, 2007 # No Comment Yet

Whew! I’ve finished editing and lining up the January issue and paying all the authors — usually I pay them once the issue is out, but since I’ll be gone for so long, I figured this time I’d pay in advance. …I used to pay authors upon acceptance, but then an author I’d paid turned [...]

Harrow 2008

drupagliassotti @ December 7, 2007 # No Comment Yet

We’re plugging away on The Harrow still; the December issue is online and I’m starting to edit the January 2008 issue early because I’ll be off to India from Dec. 28 to Jan. 20. Plans are in the works for The Harrow’s next anthology; an announcement will go out soon, but it’s going to be [...]

November Harrow

drupagliassotti @ October 29, 2007 # No Comment Yet

Well, November’s issue of The Harrow is almost all queued up and ready to go. I’m quite happy because I get to publish some fantasy stories — we get plenty of good horror, but good fantasy is much harder to find! Two new book reviewers are giving The Harrow a try, too, and I’m hoping [...]
