Clockwork Heart was originally a National Novel Writing Month self-challenge for me, although later I spent a lot of time cleaning it up and, heart in throat, sending it off. Steampunk romance wasn’t a Thing in 2007, when I submitted it. The novel was published in 2008 by Juno Books. Later, they released the rights and my agent got me a trilogy deal with another publisher. I adore the artwork that the amazing Timothy Lantz did for the books.
