Rediscovering my childhood love for tarot cards got me through the pandemic and helped me meet a lot of wonderful artists, collectors, and readers through The Alley on Facebook. I created two sets of cards of my own, using collage — the Better with Lizards Major Arcana and some sometimes rude oracle cards I called For the Love of Monsters.
I also put together a number of cards from the digital art my mother, Skydancer, made and left to my sister and I after she died. None of the work — hers or my own — was generated with AI. She died before AI-generated art was around, and I stuck with collage and what I could do with my limited Adobe Photoshop talents for these cards.
